About The Event
Join us for a theatrical screening of 28 YEARS LATER just days before the release of its direct sequel, 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE, later this week.
Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, 28 YEARS LATER deepens the series’ focus on survival by turning inward toward isolationism, cultural mythology, and the long shadow of collective trauma. It’s quieter, stranger, and more unsettling than you remember, built on tension, absence, and moral uncertainty rather than spectacle. Personally, I like pitching it as a "Studio Ghibi film with a hard Rated R."
After the screening, we’re hoping to host an informal discussion about the film’s themes and how it may set the stage for THE BONE TEMPLE, a chapter that appears ready to push the series toward questions of faith, control, belief systems, and moral decay in a world desperate for order.
