As we welcome 2021 we want to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful patrons for your love and support through 2020. This last year has been incredibly difficult for so many, and we wouldn't still be here if it wasn't for all of you. While no one knows what the coming months will bring, we are hopeful that we've made it through the worst of things, and that a brighter future waits for us all.
We've been hard at work over the last few months making improvements to our space, and have been making plans to bring programming back to our stage both in-person and virtually. We're working to reopen as soon as we can, and will be sharing more with you in the coming weeks.
We are also grateful to announce that we recently received a Denver CARES Venue Relief Fund Grant from Denver Arts & Venues, as well as a COVID-19 Nonprofit Emergency Relief Fund Grant from Denver Economic Development & Opportunity. These two grants, along with COVID-19 relief funds received earlier last year from both the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and Colorado Creative Industries, have helped us to cover some of the major losses in revenue we've experienced during our on-going closure. Combined with the generosity shown by all of you during our online and curbside sales, our Giving Tuesday and Colorado Gives Day campaigns, and the generous donations we continue to receive, we begin 2021 hopeful that we will continue to weather the challenges imposed by COVID-19, and will one day be able to welcome you all through our doors once again.
We hope you are all safe, happy, and healthy, and had a wonderful New Year. We are eternally grateful for your continued support, and we can't wait to see you again soon.
With love, The Bug Theatre Staff & Board of Directors
