About The Event
Acclaimed comedian, son of Denver, and author of the very promotional copy you are reading at this exact moment, Adam Cayton-Holland is thrilled to announce he will be taping a brand new comedy special with 800 Pound Gorilla Records. The taping will occur across two shows (7 p.m. and 9 p.m.), on Friday, January 13th, 2023, at the Bug Theater in Denver, Colorado. A lot of comics might think it's bad luck to perform on Friday the 13th, but not Adam, because he's not stupid. He also knows that his dear friends, the Nix Brothers (with whom he collaborated on the popular Grawlix web-series, as well as numerous episodes of Adam's television show Those Who Can't), will be directing the special; and those two are brilliant, so in their ever-capable hands all will be okay. Better than okay, in fact! Smashing!
Adam! How about a quote for the people?!
"I couldn't be more excited to film this special," says Cayton-Holland, who is as handsome as he is kind. "It's called, Hort!, and it's mostly about being a dad. I think every comic that becomes a parent gets that one hour where they can just break down how life will never be the same. This is that for me, and I'm extremely proud of it. It's a great hour. But I also think it's relatable far beyond just parenthood. It's still my stuff, my point of view. Just me with kids."
Hahahah. Sounds great! Anything else you'd like to add, Adam?
"I taped a Comedy Central half-hour a few years back," muses Cayton-Holland, wistfully. "But this will be my first full hour that I've taped. I couldn't be more thrilled to do it in my hometown with 800 Pound, and the Nix Brothers directing. So get tickets and help me pack out two killer shows!"
Oh, we will, Adam. We will!

Damn.
Goddamn.
