About The Event
The Grawlix are back in The Mile High!
Join us for the next show on August 28th! Joining Adam, Ben and Andrew on the stage is a lineup of local and national up-and-comers and established crushers....
Kate McLachlan
Kate is a Comic from Durango, Colorado who recently moved to Denver. She is the 2018 winner of the Four Corners Next Best Comic Competition and the loser of Comedian's Power Hour, but that's a drinking contest so don't feel bad for her. She can't wait to meet your dog.
Janae Burris
Janae Burris is a comedian, actor, event host, and former co-host of the Denver Post’s Cannabist Show in Denver, Colorado. She is a South Los Angeles native and a California Institute of the Arts alumna. Janae has opened for nationally touring comics Michael Che, Roy Wood Jr., Beth Stelling, Cameron Esposito, Josh Blue, and Gary Gulman, to name a few. She is a 2019 Just For Laughs New Face; she’s been a featured performer at Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington, High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver, Telluride Blues Fest, headlined at Aspen Laugh Fest, as well as showcased at NACA Central, NACA West and NACA Midwest. She is a Comedy Works “Pro“, the first black woman promoted to the highly respected list, and was crowned Comedy Works New Faces Champ in 2016. In 2019, she was chosen to receive a grant through Spotify’s Sound Up Podcast Bootcamp and is currently developing her podcast Dead Daddy Issues. Janae is a proud camp counselor for Athena Project, where she teaches standup comedy to teenage girls, and a founding member of Pussy Bros, her standup comedy girl gang who made their television debut on NBC’s First Look. (Ok, technically her first TV appearance was on Family Feud where she lost her shot at $10, 000 because what they don’t tell you on FF is that the real feud is between you and your own damn family.)
Chris Fairbanks
Originally from Montana’s Big Sky Country, and currently residing in Los Angeles, Chris Fairbanks headlines comedy venues internationally. His fast-paced, quirky, and consistently improvised act has been showcased on Comedy Central’s Featuring, Conan, Last Comic Standing, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. For TruTV, Chris was the host of Almost Genius, and director as well as cast member for World’s Dumbest. He’s been featured on @midnight, Fox TV’s Punchline, HBO’s Crashing, Amazon’s One Mississippi, Comedy Central’s Corporate, and the film Punching Henry starring JK Simmons.
Chris’s first comedy album, Fairbanks! was named one of Amazon MP3’s Top Ten, and he released his latest album & special, Rescue Cactus in June 2020. He also hosts the popular podcast, Do You Need a Ride, with My Favorite Murder host Karen Kilgariff, for her Exactly Right network. On it, they shuttle their guests to or from the airport, somewhat dangerously, in a ’08 Honda Accord mobile sound studio.
...and a super secret special guest!
